The Garden Yurt
Nestled within the heart of a vibrant community garden, this writer’s yurt offers an urban retreat that harmonizes creative nurture with nature. Designed with eco-conscious elements, the yurt maximizes air quality and natural light, ensuring a fresh and vibrant atmosphere year-round.
Its circular layout, centered around a wood-burning stove, fosters an organic flow, where each corner invites relaxation and reflection. The yurt’s perimeter, lined with comfortable seating, encourages both quiet contemplation and lively conversation. A daybed, kitchenette, and living space provide the perfect balance of functionality and comfort, while the open connection to the earth below enhances natural human grounding effects. We also incorporated breathable insulated fabric for the yurt’s exterior to optimize air quality and access to the elements.
The community garden houses programs to educate young and emerging urban gardeners, while blending the arts with natural healing modalities. Beautifully in tune with the mission, this space offers a warm sanctuary for community members to recharge, create, and find inspiration within the community and nature’s elements.
